Oh deary me..
Ike's Place has THEE best sandwiches in the world. Hands down.
This place is no joke.
I don't know how they do it, but they take ordinary sandwiches, add a few different ingredients, special sauces, and voilà! You have the best sandwich ever!
There's a long line inside the shop and no real place to sit down and enjoy the sandwiches. They have a small seating area (a bench) to wait while they assemble your sandwich, which is next to a tall wall of kettle chips.
You walk in, get in line, gaze at the chalkboard with the endless list of sandwiches.
After ordering, you stand amongst the rest of the hungry customers, eagerly awaiting the arrival of the lunch from heaven.
They have chicken, beef, salmon, turkey, salami, ham, meatballs, and of course, bacon!
Some sandwiches include onion rings too!
Their sauces and spreads are to die for too! Honey mustard, barbecue, italian dressing, pesto, and garlic and herb and much, much more!
And the bread... I love bread!
Oh so crunchy and flavorful! Ike's has just the right ratio of bread to filling too.
I mean look at the pictures! It's just amazing! I'm so sad that I don't live in San Fran because of this..
Oh! And they even have vegan and vegetarian options. They've got it all!
