I Got New Kicks!

Don't judge a book by its cover seems to be the theme here..

Most people think it's time to purchase new shoes when the current shoes look damaged and messed up and worn out...

Not so! You're actually supposed to get new shoes every 300 to 500 miles. This is especially true if you wear these shoes often or if you run outside.

The pavement wears down the tread, naturally decreasing the stability of the structure. Also, just wearing the shoes often takes a toll on the structure of the shoe as a whole. It's like with anything, the more you use it, the less new it becomes!

Don't be fooled by the exterior of your shoes! They may look clean if you take care of them, but check the bottom for a worn tread. If they feel loose and less supportive, it may be time for an upgrade as well.

It doesn't matter if your ankles every or invert when you run/walk; this creates an unbalanced foundation/ base of the shoe which can eventually cause joint pain or discomfort. Don't wait until you feel the pain!

Avoid pain and go shopping! (:
