National Nutrition Month

When we welcome March, we also welcome National Nutrition Month!

This month is dedicated to education about nutrition and well being.

And, more specifically, today is Registered Dietitians day! RDs are recognized for their contribution and My dream job! (:

Anyway, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is hosting National Nutrition Month as a campaign that "focuses attention on the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits."



This year's slogan is: Get Your Plate in Shape. This means eating more healthy foods like fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and various sources of lean protein. Eat a variety of foods in moderation, and don't forget your exercise (30-60 minutes daily)!

So what are you going to do for National Nutrition Month?
